YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

To Under 15’s & Under 16’s Team Managers.

 Dear All,

As you are aware Barkston Ash FA have an under 17’s representative team which plays in the West Riding County FA Minor Cup competition.

This entails a maximum of 5 / 6 cup fixtures per season played mainly on a Sunday. We also arrange the occasional friendly match, which are played midweek or Saturdays.

We are holding coaching sessions for current Under 15’s and Under 16’s players at Brigshaw High School all weather pitch on Saturdays 8th and 15th December starting at 9.00am.

These sessions are carried out by Nick Peacock and Paul Collins .

If you have any players who you feel are of the standard to represent the District, then please contact Nick on 0113 2877292 (m) 07949 902036 or Paul on 01977 685088 (m) 07769 927746.

If you are unable to contact either then bring your players to Brigshaw on the above dates.

Remember if we don’t know about your players then we are unable to select them to represent your District. Please do not deprive your players the opportunity of playing representative football.

Many players who have represented Barkston Ash in the past have gone on to represent West Riding County FA and some on to professional clubs.

Yours in sport
Eric Beedham  Secretary.

The youth section hold training sessions at Brigshaw High School Astro turf facility on Saturday Mornings from 9.00 to 12.00. The new season sessions will begin shortly. We would like to see as many young players and club managers as possible at these sessions.

The training is given by FA licensed coaches and is of a very high quality. There will be opportunities for players to test themselves against Pro club academies & Centers of excellence, other representative teams and clubs youth teams from a high standard of non leagues clubs.

The main aim is to develop the District's young players to a level when they will challenging for places in the West Riding County Representative Teams.
